As we approach the Christmas season it is important to be steadfast in the mind of Christ, resisting all anxieties. This will bring peace and joy in everything that we do. With this thought we pray that December will be a special time for you.
With regard to building the international radio station which I told about last month. I knew from the beginning that I had not heard from God concerning this. However, in order to be sure I asked Him to preform a certain act if I was to assist in this work. That which I asked did not come to fruition. All JoAnn and I could hear from God was, "Stay focused". Therefore, with your prayers and support we will continue on the road which God has placed us. Turning away from what seemed logical, we all believe that we are going in the right direction.
I have told Dr. Lightfoot that I will not be with them. It is so important that one seeks God's knowledge and wisdom in everything that he does. We must never make hasty decisions no matter how good it looks, for a wrong turn can put you in the wilderness. With a pure heart Gary Lightfoot knocked doors seeking ways to do what God has called him to do. I ask that you pray for his ministry. Already the LORD has sent other people to help him.
The same principle which Dr. Lightfoot and I used in finding God's will about the radio station should apply to everything that we do. Today, we are bombarded by voices of people who do not have the mind of Christ. Even in the church there are many people who believe that the simple salvation story is all that they need to know. For everything else they rely on their own intellect. Because they lack Godly knowledge they accept the degenerate ways of the world as a way of life. Believing that they are right they instruct others. This brings false doctrines into the Church, and destruction to God's people. (Hosea 4:6).
Remember all thoughts which come from our carnal minds are called lies. (Rom. 3:4; Isa. 29:16; Ps. 146:9). We must separate ourselves from ungodly voices by learning God's word under our tutor, the Holy Spirit. (1 John 2:27). This will allow one to realize what God has given to him. As a child of God you are possessor of heaven and earth, not by your own might but because God has ordained this to be so. His promise to Abraham has been given to you through Christ Jesus. (Gen. 14:19; Gal. 3:14). In Christ we have salvation, but we also have healing, prosperity, godly wisdom and knowledge. These are examples of our resources in God. He cares about and wishes to be involved in every aspect of our lives. He desires to be one with His children, but this can only be done when we take on the mind of Christ. (Rom. 12:2; 1 Cor. 2:16). Therefore, we need to study continually always seeking to learn more about who we are as children of God. Thereby becoming separate from the ways of the world.
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. (Proverbs 30:5-6). The devil, through false prophets and teachers, is deceiving many people. Appearing as angels of light they elevate false ideas about how we are to live, such as, "God gave us a mind and He expects us to use it." No, God expects us to renew our mind with TRUTH! Let us recognize voices in opposition to truth. With truth we will not turn to the left or to the right as truth is the straight way. In truth God walks before us and prepares our course.
Have a Merry Christmas, We Love You,
