Dear Friend,

We have concluded another good month in which Jesus has set a number of people free. We thank Him for the things which He has done and we thank you for your prayers and support. The family is doing well except for JoAnn who still has headaches. Pray for her.

Here is a tidbit for you. On Tuesday, January 17, 1991, Coalition aircraft roared aloft at 12:30 a.m. for a strike on Iraq. The Gulf war was on. Fifty days later, on March 7, a Jubilee took place. Newspaper headlines reported, "PARTY TIME: GIs RETURNING HOME." Iraq released a large number of Coalition prisoners and the first U.S. troops arrived on home soil. This was followed by 539 days or 77 X 7 days of United Nations attempts to get Sadam Hussein to comply with twelve U.N. resolutions. The 539 days ended on August 27, 1992. On the following day, because of Saddam Hussein noncompliance, Coalation aircraft began flying "Southern Watch" over the old Babylonian territory which is now a part of Iraq. In 586 B.C. Babylonian troops laid siege on Jerusalem for 539 days or 77 X 7 days. Then they entered the city. God is perfect in His order. He changes nations, times and seasons. He set kings in office and takes kings from office (Dan 2:21). He is never off schedule. Therefore, He is perfect as He prefects you. Enjoy every day knowing that He cares for you and your end results is good.

We received many wonderful, positive remarks concerning the August 1992 newsletter. Therefore, I will expand on that message. Last month, I told how Moses, under God's direction, used two different oils to accomplish two different objectives. Lamp oil fed the light in the tabernacle of God (Ex. 27:20). This oil had to be replenished continually in order to produce a perpetual light. Lamp oil of the Spirit comes when one accepts Jesus and becomes a tabernacle of the Holy Spirit, a light unto the world (Read Rom. 8:10; 1 Cor. 6:19; Matt 5:14 and Matt. Ch. 25). People with lamp oil are spiritual Levites, but not priests as this comes when the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit, mixed with gifts, is poured upon him. (Equate to Ex. 30:22-33). Thereby, they are ordained from above as priests, under the high priest Jesus, in the "order of Melchizedek" (Rom. 8:11 and Heb. Ch. 7). These do the works which Jesus did. The Messiah spoke to Philip about this.

Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, show me the Father'? "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
. . . "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper [the oil of the Holy Spirit], that He may abide with you forever, "even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you [lamp oil] and will be in you [anointing oil]
. (John 14:9-13 N.K.J.).

On the day of Pentecost a spiritual anointing oil was poured upon Philip (Acts 2:1-4). As a priest anointed with the Holy Spirit he went to Samaria where he preached Jesus, "And the multitude with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits [demons], crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed." (Acts 8:6-7 N.K.J.).

When the apostles at Jerusalem heard what had taken place in Samaria, they sent Peter and John. When they arrived, they prayed for those who had already believed (the spiritual Levites) that they might receive the anointing oil, the Holy Spirit, "For as yet He had not fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized [in water] . . ." When they laid hands upon them they received the Holy Spirit with manifestations that could be observed. (Acts 8:14-18). God does not change. Therefore, that which He established is still in effect for those spiritual Levites who submit to becoming priest. Feel free to copy this letter and give it to others. As children of God we need to understand each other. We are one! In unity, God is powerful through us.

Love in the LORD,

Dean Hubbard
