Dear One,

Greetings in the name of Jesus. I pray that the LORD will bless you in health, in your finances and abundantly in peace. This message may reprinted for others.

For people of the United States November is a time of thanksgiving to the God of our founding fathers. No doubt, we are blessed above all nations. This is because our country was formed by men who worshiped God in the name of His Son Jesus. However, there is a move in our country to accept other gods. This became vivid on October 23, 1993. Girl Scout leaders changed the Girl Scout pledge to allow the names of other gods to be used. This is a move away from Judeo-Christian principles. Review an excerpt from the Associated Press.

Girl Scouts will be allowed to pledge service to "God," "Allah," "The Creator," or to anyone else they please, under a measure adopted Saturday at the organization's national convention. ... "The important thing is that the spiritual principles which continue to be the fundamental of Girl Scouting recognize that there are some religious groups, such as buddhist and Hindus, as well as other cultural groups, such as American Indians, that believe in a spiritual motivating force, but use other than "God,'" said national president B LaRae Orullian.

In the name of "strength in diversity", the Girl Scouts will never be the same. In the name of "constitutional equality", and "justice", immorality is becoming a way of life in the United States. If this move is not checked, it will expand until it enters all phases of our lives and then destruction will come upon the U.S.. Look at our example! The children of Israel allowed men and women of other nations to bring their false worship and immorality into their midst. Then they and their leaders turned from YHWH (Jehovah). God's people were permissive until little by little they became like the heathen. For this cause God brought destruction upon them. The true God does not intend for His people to be tolerant of iniquity and/or other gods. Can we then be so broad-minded as to allow our leaders to make other gods equal to the God upon which our country was founded? Can we continue to be tolerant of leaders, law makers and judges who encourage immorality? The answer is NO. We must take a stand against variance from the Truth and this must start with our own person.

I told the Girl Scout story in order to show how we little by little, cut God out of our lives. As an individual or as a nation, man has a way of thinking that little deviations from God's word will not hurt. In this state of mind he may say, "We live in modern times," or, "Everybody has changed," or "We don't really know what God's word says about ...". It is easy to live according to customs instead of living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. If one lives according to modern customs he will become hostile to God.

Pride goes before destruction... (Prov. 16:18). God gives grace to the humble and resist the proud... (1 Peter 5:5-6). If one chooses to swagger in pride, being proud that he is a certain type of person, proud that he can speak in a certain fashion, proud of his position, proud of his possessions or even proud of being poor, he is resisting God. The devil is king over the children of pride. (Job 41:34). Pride goes before destruction but,

Permissiveness allows one to lie, deceive, cause disunity, strut in pride, curse, hate, accuse others, grumble (complain) and do other things which dispute God's word. If practiced long enough acceptance of these things will cause one to doubt the true and living God.

By the Holy Spirit we must continually renew our minds, taking on the mind of Christ. This will remove ungodliness from us. With boldness we will speak out for Jesus. We will praise Him and try to please Him. This will bring us into His joy, health, peace, love, provision and protection. Against this the devil has no offense or defence. With renewed minds we are free to pray for righteousness to overcome immorality in high places. By fervent prayer we can and must change the direction of this country.

Thank you for praying for JoAnn. We have a good report. Following a segmental mastectomy her bone-scan shows no other cancer. However, as a precaution she will undergo six months of chemotherapy. Thank you for your continued prayers.

With the Love of Jesus,
