Your father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him. (Matt. 6:8). We can have confidence in this; even God fearing Jews believe that God will perform His word. Therefore, I will use some of them as an example.
In early November I received a phone call from a friend, Clyde Lott, a cattleman. He asked if I would like to meet Rabbi Chaim Richman, "Director of Public Affairs for The Temple Institute in Jerusalem." Because he is in charge of gathering the materials needed to build and conduct worship in the "third temple," my answer was yes. On November 10, this meeting took place in Jackson, Mississippi.
Rabbi Richman informed us that building materials were ready; the priests clothing are made; the instruments and vessels of worship have been fashioned. He said, "We know where the Ark of the Covenant is hidden and believe that the golden candlestick (Ex.39:37) and anointing oil (Ex. 39:38) are with it. One thing was lacking, red cattle without spot or blemish (For red heifer see Num. 19:2); this brought the Rabbi to Mississippi. He found the required cattle in Clyde's herd. This was a historical Jewish event. As far as anyone knows, for the first time since 70 A.D, a levite had his hands on a perfect red cow. Within a short time the offspring of these cattle will be grazing on Israeli soil.
I believe that rebuilding the temple will bring an awakening which will ultimately cause Jews to accept Y'shua (Jesus) as their Messiah. However, this is not the focus of this letter; concentrate on the blind faith of these people.
Someone ask the Rabbi, "What are you going to do about the Dome of the Rock?" He answered, "I am not going to do anything about it; God chose that site for His temple; let Him work it out!" Even in the face of impossibility Rabbi Richman and his colleagues are making preparations, believing that God is going to remove the obstruction on the temple mound. Notice that they are not considering the obstacle, they are looking for God's work.
I thought, "How good it would be if all Christian people would trust God in this manner." He chose us; therefore, He will provide for us and protect us. Even against all odds, He can and will accomplish His word. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 N.K.J.). This is why Jesus said, Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, ... (Matt. 6:25). A child born of flesh and of the Spirit grew up to be our mighty king. He knows our beginning and our end; likewise, he knows everything in between. Our jobs, family, health, provisions and salvation are in His hands. We must say, "I am God's chosen; He is working in every area of my life, and the outcome is good."
By blind faith we receive the goodness of God's word. This is a positive motivator, therefore, the negative of this world should not affect us. We are told to think on good things. If we think on good things, we will speak good things. This brings prosperity while opposite thinking and talk will bring ruin. If every Christian would take time each morning to read Philippians 4:6-9 their day would be much better. This may not change conditions, but it will change your attitude. By having this scripture fresh in your mind, the world will not appear to be so bad. You can even get through Christmas in total peace, His peace.
We Love You,
