Greetings in the name of Jesus,

I trust that 1993 was a productive year for you. I say this with surety because, We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Rom. 8:28).

The Hubbard family has another member in Heaven. On December 19, my mother left for her new home. Her last words were, "Go get Jesus." I have been looking through some of her notes. This is from the days when my Dad was preaching and she was teaching God's word. It is a blessing to see the depth of her knowledge. I am so thankful for a Christian heritage. King Solomon wrote, A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one's birth. (Ecc. 7:1). We do feel the lost of a parent but, we rejoice in her transformation.

Last week I was on a six lane street, three in each direction. The right lane, which led to the interstate, was moving while the other two lanes were stopped by a traffic light. In the rear view mirror I could see that about seven cars back a driver was trying to change lanes. In this attempt he was blocking both. I moved up about a half car length. Then I watched as the drivers behind me also moved up. This enabled the trapped driver to clear the interstate entrance lane. Then I began to think how every action in one's life affects the lives of others. Today we live in a society where many people are not cognizant of this fact and they hurt people who love them.

The traffic episode causes me to think about how the actions of Jesus still affect the lives of people. If he had not thought of others I would not have salvation. I also think about how the actions of my father, mother and even my grandparents have affected my life. Then there are other men and women whose actions have caused repercussions in my life, some good and some bad. I believe we must always be aware that our actions will affect the lives of others. None of us stand as an island. This brings to mind Ephesians, Chapter 5, a good message to live by in the year 1994.

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
...
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another (not lording over one another) in the fear (respect) of God. (Eph. 5:1-2:1).

It has been seven years since we established the policy of operating Knowledge Of Jesus Ministries on a cash basis. I am happy to report that the ministry is still debt free. God has truly honored this work! Thank you for your prayers and support.

We Love You,
