A State of the Ministry Report

This year I will complete twenty years in the ministry. It is because of you and other people like you, people whom Jesus loves, that this ministry has flourished. Your prayers and financial support have made Knowledge of Jesus available to many people.

In the beginning, I told God that I would do anything that He wanted me to do, I just had to know that it was Him leading the way. Then for the next two years I tried to do His work and at the same time do what I wanted to do. I thought I could continue to prosper in the ways of the world. This did not work! It was then that I gave up my desires and made a total dedication to doing it His way. This started an unusual ministry.

As ministries grow people make mistakes. This ministry was no different, but we are thankful for the mistakes. Through them we learned God's ways, and because of them we, several years ago, established some guidelines for Knowledge of Jesus Inc. We give ten percent of all income to other ministries; this is off the top of all revenue. We do not spend money on "window dressing" the ministry, and we do not allow the organization's expense to exceed its income. Above all we trust God for all things, allowing Him to keep Knowledge of Jesus Inc. a viable ministry. In return He has caused K.O.J. Inc. to complete another year with all bills paid.

When you receive our mail it must be obvious that we use our print space for ministry and not for solicitation. We do, however, include a return envelope. Some come back delivering prayer request, some bring financial support. Others contain special letters. The contents of each returned envelope is important to us as they come from people who love Jesus.

During December of 1994, we received more cards and letters than usual. Some came from as far away as Europe. Each of these brought good reports and expressions of love. It was exciting to read them, and as we did some brought tears of joy to our eyes. In addition there were phone calls and personal contacts. We thank everyone who communicated with us, and demonstrated their love, during 1994. It is wonderful to know that so many people are being ministered to through Knowledge of Jesus Ministries, and it is being done with such a small budget. Only God could cause this.

Often we hear from people in places where we do not send mail. This is because you pass our letters along to others, therefore, we never know how many people read them. However, it is not important that we know because it is God's work through many people.

The monthly letters have become a continuing ministry. Several people have told us how they keep all of them and frequently refer to them. Others have encouraged us to put them into book form. Please pray with us about this.

Recently, one lady wrote four pages to express her appreciation for the monthly letters. She did this in such a way that both JoAnn and I cried. As our joy bubbled over we gained strength.

We love you,

Dean Hubbard

P.S. The book, "Letter to Israel," is being edited. Soon it should be ready for press. We will keep you informed.
