"For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [without reserve] unto him. For the Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things unto his hands (John 3:34-35)." When this took place it was the beginning of the "Kingdom of God" on earth. Jesus, under a full measure of the Holy Spirit did the works of God, by the words of God.

Jesus was an example for us. As a boy, He was instructed in his earthly father's carpentry trade. By becoming a carpenter He was following a Jewish tradition. Notwithstanding, Jesus had another Work to emulate. (See John 10:31-38). At age twelve, He showed that He also knew and understood the business of His heavenly Father. When He turned thirty years of age He entered this vocation: in an earthly body He was empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the works of God. This was an example for every person born of the Spirit. The heavenly Father's work has not stopped. It is still carried on by the power of the Holy Spirit through yielded children of God.

Christians are inclined to evaluate their position with God from a man's viewpoint. Now look at this from God's standpoint. God the Father directly taught His Son the works of the "Kingdom of God." He then arranged to instruct you in like fashion. Jesus said, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatsoever He hears He will speak; He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you." (John 16:13-15 N.K.J.). "But, the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the father will send in my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said unto you." (John 14:16 N.K.J.).

By becoming a child of God we enter into a contract that allows Him to do His works through us. Consider that God does not change: through Jesus He gives an example of how the works of God were to be done upon the earth. For this cause we are expected to follow in the footsteps of our elder brother, Jesus. After all, by the Holy Spirit, if we receive Him, we are supposed to come into the true knowledge of God. It must hurt Him when pride of the flesh, rebellion and lack of knowledge prevents Him from using many of His children in His work.

If Christians do not understand who they are they cannot understand the vocation given to them by their heavenly Father. If they reject their position in the kingdom of God it leaves many people unsaved. There are so many unsaved, troubled people living around us. God can do something about this problem but, because His works are only done through His sons, Spirit filled people, He needs you! If every son will yield to the Father and receive instructions from the Holy Spirit, God's work will increase tremendously. Thousands, no, millions will quickly be saved. The more miracles, works of God, that take place, the more unsaved people will believe that He is alive. Miracles may scare some people but, it is God at work.

Often I see people that think they are not worthy for God to use them. However, it is not our worthiness that moves the works of God. On the other hand, being self-centered and/or having pride prevents God from doing what He wants to do through us. Get mad at the devil, get mad for what he has stolen from you. You are special! Therefore, ask for and receive all that God has for you. Make the devil know that his time is short.
