The Son of God spoke of pursuing good gifts from "your Father in heaven" (Matt. 7:7 11). Let us start here and equate this to asking for, and receiving, the anointing and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that signs and wonders would follow "them that believe" (See Mark 16:15 18). If we believe we must believe all of what Jesus said and did. He was an example for all who would come after Him. Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit the Apostles, the people in the "early church" and many people in the following centuries have emulated Him. They were able to do this because Jesus Christ, who sent the Holy Spirit, does not change (Heb. 13:8). This is also why unbelievers still become believers when signs and wonders follow God- gifted men and women that proclaim Jesus (Re: Mark 16:15-18).
You will notice, In Matthew 7:7-11 Jesus coupled asking, seeking and knocking with good gifts. It is obvious that God intends to work through us in the same fashion as He worked through those mentioned above. We must, therefore, consider salvation as a starting place and continually move forward. We are told, ".. You have not because you ask not" (James 4:2). So, ask and be receptive to all that God has for you. If the anointing does not come at once ask again and again until the power of the Holy Spirit begans to work through you, and remember, the anointing has a bonus for you. When we strive to be like Jesus our problems become inconsequential.
Personally, I have been praying for a greater anointing than ever before. At the same time I have been asking God to open wide new doors for ministry. I have such a desire to see people set free. You probably feel the same way, so as God directs, and in what ever way you can, be a part of the anointed work which is before us. Great things are about to happen! I believe that God, through many of us, is mounting the greatest spiritual offense the world has ever known. I urge you to prepare yourself for this.
Christians joined together in prayer can blot out diseases, stop deception, save families and see the unsaved brought into the "Kingdom of God." We must not let pride, traditions or carnal thinking prevent us from allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us. We, the body of believers, must return to the powerful anointing of the early Church. This can be done if we "fear not," praise God, receive the anointing, fast, pray for others and be ready at all times to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
K.O.J. News: We are starting a program whereby many of you will join others in prayer, cursing diseases at their root (soon you will receive a letter concerning this). ... Our computer has been upgraded. It is ready for us to deliver God's word via the World Wide Web. News-letters, past and present, as well as other messages will be available to computer users world wide. K.O.J.'s home page should be open within four to six weeks. The monthly expense is nominal when compared to the number of people we will reach. ... I have finished writing and the editor is almost finished editing the powerful, God-given book, Letter To Israel. We are expecting the LORD to provide a publisher for this work. Please pray about these things.
JoAnn's Note: Thank you for your prayers and support. Although there is no sign of cancer in my body I still read daily, to God, a set of scriptures concerning healing. In order to repair the bone damage done by cancer, which does not bother me, I have added Proverbs 15:30. I am asking God to make my bones fat (prosperous and be anointed). Please pray for our son-in law, Bob Jackman. He just lost a kidney to cancer and is recovering.
