Because of your prayers we have good news! Goetz Design Group has finished the cover for Letter to Israel and it is beautiful. People that have read the manuscript are giving great reports. God has chosen some Spirit-filled people in Tennessee to help get the book published. They already have the manuscript in the hands of an executive of a major publishing company. In the next few days they expect to get some publishers to read it. I have told you all of this so that you may pray for the proper publisher.

Please join us in prayer. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee [Jerusalem]. (Psalms 122:6) Pray that Letter to Israel will cause a multitude of souls to be saved. In addition, pray that Christians everywhere will gain an understanding of God's perfect schedule for their lives and for the nations of this world. We believe it is impossible for anyone to read this book without saying, "Jesus, the Son of God is the Messiah and His name is above every name that is named." Read Ephesians, Chapter 1 and focus on verse 21.

Recently, I was reading notes that my Mother had written in her loose-leaf Bible. On faded paper, probably from the early 1940's, she wrote about strong delusions that would come upon the earth. She said, "When this takes place, if I am not praying, if I am not holding on to God, it would be mighty easy for the devil to trap me and swerve and get me into the wrong thing." She recognized the weakness of the flesh and the power of God. Mother is now with the LORD, but we can consider her words and then look at what is happening in the world we live in.

Following the death of 39 members of "Heaven's Gate," in California, I was asked, "How can something like this happen? The answer is simple. When one follows man's perverted thinking instead of accepting God's Holy Spirit he can be hoodwinked by the deceiver, the devil. Deception is an awesome thing because the one in deception believes that falsehoods are truth. Daily, we can observe this in the news. Heads of Governments, reporters and "experts" are in opposition to God's Word. They believe they have the truth while confusion is prevalent.

Think on this! Men are born with arrogance, pride of the flesh, but the supreme power is in the Word of God and in the name of Jesus. By His power we overcome the flesh, its pride and all the power of the devil. Living by the works of the flesh brings confusion. On the other hand, by giving our lives to the LORD, we live in love, peace and harmony. Even in the storms of life we can have these things, if we trust in the LORD. Therefore, our only protection against deception is our relationship with God. When someone, without the Spirit of God, attempts to use Scripture, it turns into perversion, even exploitation of others.

I remember when I was called to a jail in Florida. A man locked in a cell had reached through the bars, gotten a chair, pulled it apart and was using part of the chair as a club. The officers could not get close to this giant of a man. I arrived and found him sitting naked on an upper bunk. He was quoting scripture and using it out context. He had probably done this many times to get what he wanted. I was told that he had been doing this for a couple of days and every time someone got close he would swing at them.

I approached this diabolical man, and as Jesus had done to the devil in the wilderness, I quoted Scripture back to him. Jesus knew that the truth conquers corruption. In the name of Jesus I bound the devil from any action, demanded the club and to the astonishment of the officers he quietly handed it to me. Thank God for the power in His word and in His name.
