IT
IS AGAIN
TIME FOR THE
CHRISTMAS SEASON.
THIS YEAR APPEARS TO BE
A TIME WHEN PEOPLE ARE BUYING
MORE THAN EVER BEFORE. COULD THIS
MEAN THAT THE GIVING SPIRIT IS GREATER
THAN BEFORE, OR IS IT GREED? WE KNOW THAT
THE REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS IS NOT GREED,
BUT GIVING. GOD GAVE HIS OWN SON SO THAT WE MIGHT
LIVE. EVEN THE CHRISTMAS TREE REPRESENTS THIS. IT IS A TREE
OF
LIFE.
TO
THOSE
THAT BELIEVE
ON THE LORD JESUS
THERE IS NO GREATER
TREE THAN THIS TREE. IN
REVELATION 2, WE READ THAT THIS
TREE IS FOR A PEOPLE THAT HOLD THE
TESTIMONY OF JESUS, THE OVERCOMERS.
IN REVELATION 22, THIS TREE BEARS TWELVE
KINDS OF FRUIT, ONE FOR EACH MONTH, AND HER
LEAVES ARE FOR HEALING OF NATIONS. IN PROVERBS 3,
THE TREE OF LIFE IS WISDOM, A GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
IN PROVERBS 11, THIS TREE IS RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS
OF THE LORD JESUS AND A GIFT TO US. PROVERBS 15 REVEALS THAT A
TREE OF LIFE IS A WHOLESOME TONGUE, SOMETHING THAT ONLY COMES
FROM TAKING ON THE MIND OF CHRIST AND ALLOWING ONE’S TONGUE, AN UNRULY MEMBER, TO BE CONTROLLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. AT THIS TIME OF YEAR AND AT ALL TIMES WE MUST REMEMBER THAT, AS WE CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF JESUS, HIS PURPOSE WAS TO REDEEM US FROM DEATH AND INTO LIFE. HIS GIFT IS NOW OFFERED TO US. WE CAN TAKE ON HIS MIND, HIS WISDOM, HIS SPIRIT, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS
AND
HIS
LOVE.
IN
THIS
SEASON
AND AT ALL
TIMES WE SHOULD
THINK ON THESE THINGS.
JESUS PAID IT ALL THAT WE
MAY EAT FREELY FROM THE TREE
OF LIFE. ADAM LOST THIS AND JESUS
RECOVERED IT FOR ME AND FOR YOU. SO,
THIS CHRISTMAS OFFER UP A SPECIAL
SACRIFICE OF PRAISE TO THE KING OF KINGS
AND LORD
OF
LORDS.
Be not afraid because Y2K is on its way. Fear does not come from God. Surely there are some changes going to take place because of the computers, but children of God will be taken care of. One thing is clear, we are within a few weeks of knowing who is spreading peace and who is spreading fear. Then we can stay clear of the people that have spread fear.
I have been studying about God’s timetable for twenty-four years. Therefore, I can assure you that when two thousand years following the birth of Jesus has been completed (one year from January 1, 2000) we will actually be 6,200 solar calendar years forward of the creation of Adam. On the other hand, in the Bible 360 days are counted as a time. If this method is used the completed year 1990 A.D. plus 770 years is equal to 7000 times from the creation of Adam. This will be completed in the year 2700 A.D. It is well documented in the book, Letter to Israel, but does it mean anything special? Probably not! So, do not get caught up in the confusion of millennia-mania. Just trust God and live in His peace at all times.
