Today, deception is everywhere, and coming from many sources. God though is greater than the deception. We, however, must realize that many people believe the lie and hell is their destination. This tells us that it is time to pray more than ever before for people that believe false doctrine. Deception caused the school shooting in Littleton, Colorado. Many people say, "This shooting was bad," without connecting bad (evil) with the works of the devil. Nor do they see God and His word to be the antidote. Therefore, they have not accepted the truth and said, "Let us put God back in our schools, let us clean up our society with the Word of God."

Children from the Sixties, when God was removed from the schools, are now in positions of authority and they are expounding lies from perverted minds. Only yesterday I received an e-mail from a man named Jim Nugent. Jim tells that he had sent a message to ABC about undesirable content in one of their TV programs, and Jim had used Scripture to support his displeasure. He tells that the ABC Webmaster replied with, "How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and read the Declaration of Independence (what our nation was built on) where it says "All men are Created Equal" - and try treating them (homosexuals) that way for a change!? Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic book of stories as your crutch for an existence." 

This may shock some people, but I have heard the Webmaster’s negative statement about the Bible from someone I know. It comes from a perverted mind, or one so narrow minded that they cannot look at the great universe and know that there is a God, or seek truth for themselves. We must consider that some people making such statements are deceived, but others just repeat what they hear without seeking godly knowledge for themselves. Although the lie is not new it is spreading as we move toward the return of Jesus Christ. I must get the book, Letter to Israel published soon. No one can read this work without saying, "The Lord reigns over the universe, over mankind and man’s time on earth." 

I have focused on only one thing that is bringing men into deception and destruction. Now we can look at what we can expect during the "last days." Look closely at what the Apostle Paul had to say about this time.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affections [homosexual], truce-breakers [breaking agreements], false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded [believing that they are always right], lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; Having a form of Godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (II Timothy 3:1-5)

This brings us to another Scripture that Paul wrote, Ephesians 4. This is about changing one’s thinking, which is done by inviting the power of the Holy Spirit to help us. It is good to read all of this chapter, but we need to focus on anger, one of the major caused of trouble today. Be ye angry, and sin not [do not let it be manifested]: let not the sun go down on your wrath [take care of it immediately]. ... And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:1 & 30-32) When anger is dealt with many things will change.

More about deception: It is good to read Ephesians 5 and then consider Galatians 5:14-21. Today, many people that call themselves Christians are deceived and will not inherit the kingdom of God because they have elected not to deal with their fleshly nature. Paul tells how love will replace anger as well as all the other works of the flesh. So, let there be love and let us not be deceived by the lies of the devil and his followers.

The Red Cattle Program: It is hoped that with winter now gone Nebraska weather will clear. This will allow work to begin on the pasture and service area for the herd. This must be done in accordance with guidelines established by the involved Departments of Agriculture. According to an Israeli lawyer I spoke with last week, the Israeli Department of Agriculture has established a shipping window for these cattle to enter Israel. This starts on November 1 and ends on December 15. Maybe the cattle can go this year.

On the book, Letter to Israel: I am waiting for the Israeli election to be completed. This will take place this month, May of 1999. I will get this story in the book and maybe finish it at this point in history.
