On January 1, 2000, we were 1,999 years forward of the birth of Jesus. According to accumulated Bible dates (documented in Letter to Israel) His birth took place 4,200 years after God created Adam. The apostle Luke recorded that Jesus was born the forty-second generation in the bloodline of King David (Luke 3). This reminds us of the forty-two moves the Children of Israel made when they departed Egypt and arrived in Canaan (Numbers 33). God is so perfect in His order! Today, we can believe on Jesus Christ and enter into His perfection, or perfect order; that is if we allow God to be the lord of our life. On the other hand, one can believe that Jesus is Lord without allowing Him to be Lord. This is what one does when they try to be in control and make everything go the way of the carnal mind.

The Apostle Paul wrote about how we should live and think. He coupled this with love, a giving heart and being like Jesus. He said, Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:1-5).

In order to benefit from what Paul was saying we must examine our lives. We must ask ourselves, "Have I taken on the mind of Christ? Will I daily live like a representative of Jesus or will I follow the ways of the flesh? Am I selfish instead of living in love? Am I in fellowship of Spirit? Am I putting others first? If the answer to any of these questions is negative God’s love can turn that around; again this is if He is made lord of our life. By doing this we can go through the year 2000 and beyond living a better life than ever before.

By adding the 1,999 completed years following the birth of Jesus and the 4,200 years before His birth we find that we are 6,199 solar years forward of creation. This does not agree with the Jewish calendar, the one established by Rambam. According to His work we are in the year 5760. On the other hand, the 6,199 number appears to be correct as it lines up with Scripture. We do know that God is on schedule and will not be late in finishing His work. In the meantime, if He is lord over our lives we will not be deceived nor made to fear. We will live in peace and love knowing that ... my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Today, we know that the Y2K scare was mostly that, a scare. It was reported that in Italy little was done in preparation for the year 2000, and even this country made the transition without trouble. In our December newsletter you read, We are within a few weeks of knowing who is spreading fear. Then we can stay clear of the people that have spread fear. Today, we can see how many people in media, and those using the media, have cause an untold number of people to purchase many things that they did not need. Obviously they did this because fear was disguised as prudence. One must believe that this has been a great example of how easy people can be deceived. So, it tells us that it is more important now than ever before that we Christians listen to God and find the truth about everything. This can be done through prayer and fasting, the two things that will sharpens one’s ability to hear from the LORD.

This past year has been the most trying year of my life. However, because I had made God the Lord over my life I am OK. In February my wife, JoAnn will have been with the Lord for one year. I miss her happy voice, her love, her championship, her help and her ability to hear from the Lord. She was more than any man deserves. Thank you for praying for me and supporting the ministry during this trying time. Because of your support the ministry has completed another year with all bills paid.
