A GOOD IMMUNE SYSTEM IS BUILT INTO GOD’S PROGRAM,

SO THE DEVIL COMES TO DESTROY THAT SYSTEM

This letter will cover a God given truth, one that is rarely discussed. It has to do with building up one’s immune system, and the deterioration of the system. God said through the prophet Hosea, “For lack of knowledge my people perish.” We, therefore, must continue to gain knowledge in order to receive all God has for us.

The Devil comes to destroy. He started with Adam when he caused him to rebel against God and he continues his work of destruction. He will tare down one’s life, health and all they have -- including their marriage. He causes them to worry and be anxious about many things. In this state, he can tare down their immune system. Then all the sickness he creates comes to attack these people.

We live in a physical world in physical bodies, but there is another realm, the spiritual realm. These two conflict and in this conflict we are caught in a battle for the welfare of our bodies.

The Spiritual world was at work when “God said let there be” and He continued to say “Let there be” until he formed man in His likeness. Think about this! Adam was made to think like the God that made him, but in rebellion his mind was turned upside down. Then, every offspring was born with perverted thinking. This change was bad, but the Lord set forth a program to recover man from his perverted mind. This came through many years of preparation followed by the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. His birth into an earthly family with an earthly body allowed the death of this body to take place, but by the power of God’s Holy Spirit, Jesus was raised from the dead and given a new body, one without blood of life on earth. Because of His giving, He was able to pray the Father and send the Holy Spirit to everyone that asked the Father in Jesus name for this great gift. The Apostle John wrote, “Let that therefore [the Holy Spirit] abide in you which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son and the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us, even eternal life. … But the anointing [Holy Spirit] which you have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you; but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you ye shall abide in Him” (1 John 24-27). John continued in another book, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health even as thy soul prospers” (III John 2). John knew a simple truth! He knew that prospering in the word of God, taught by the Holy Spirit, was a gateway to good health and prosperity.

Our mindset is actually changed when we accept Jesus as our Lord and His word as our guidepost. By continuing in Him, studying his word, and being under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we come into His peace with great love, joy, and happiness. In this state we can face all things knowing that He is in control of our lives and He will turn all things into good for us. In this state, our immune system becomes strong.

We read in the Bible, ”A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken” (Proverbs 15:13). King Solomon continued to write, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones” (Prob. 17:22). Today, doctors have proven this to be true. Contented (happy) people heal faster than unhappy people, and the immune systems of happy people are greater than those of unhappy people. Remember the road to illness is labeled discontent. Other roads to sickness are labeled anger, unforgiveness, and any other thing that makes one unhappy. But by the power of the Holy Spirit we overcome all these things and live in the upper realm.
